Starting out, the idea of living on the road was the last thing on my mind. After I did all the local gigs, I realized the only way for me to evolve as a solo artist was to hit the road. Over the next five years, I logged thousands of gigs — with the occasional festival appearance — in cities across the country. My time on the road proved crucial in shaping my sound.
